I don't know about other girls, but i know that if I am not attracted to a guy it absolutely does not matter what he will say to me. Everything that will say with hope to make me fall in love with him, will go over my head.

I think it's been shown that there's a physiological response that in case of girls is linked to what she hears and in case of guys with what he sees. Besides other things, it, I think, has purely physiological roots: the stimulus->reaction chain.
