What do you people think an ideal age difference should be in a relationship? Should both parties be the same age or should someone be older? If so who should the older person be, the guy or the girl?

QueenofLilies 03-26-2005, 11:02 PM My personal preference according to picking ideal age of a guy for me is an open set.....it all depends on the guy...and the type of guy he is. Some people set an age limit on the kind of guy or girl they ant to be involved in, but I honestly think that age is not a basis for a good and stable relationship. Age does not determine maturity, intelligence, responsibity...or other factors. It all depends on the person. Some people are 26 years of age {both guys and gilrs}...and dont even come close to the maturity of an 18 year old girl or guy. Whoever is involved in a relationship or will be in the future...I wish you the best of luck and happiness. As I mentioned before, the stability of a good relationship should not become a big reference to age. But that doesn't mean that you should consider dating a senior!..LOL Matrix 03-27-2005, 01:18 PM it all depends on ONE's preferences TheGreatOne 03-27-2005, 03:13 PM What do you people think an ideal age difference should be in a relationship? If you don't mind, it doesn't matter." -- Mark Twain. But if the girl is older, then I might mind and, therefore, it might matter. :) Natasha 03-29-2005, 12:08 AM It definitely depends on the person. But I think that in most cases 4 to 8 years is preferrable. More than 10 is just plain disgusting. Imagine...the younger party would constantly have to worry about his/her spouse dying on him/her before he/she is in his/her prime. I have a friend who's husband is 13 years older than she. He tells her, "kotik, ya uje stariy." He has high cholesterol and is likely to get a heart attack if he doesn't watch his diet. She is only 24 and they have a baby girl. She does not want to be a widow in her twenties. |
