View Full Version : Honestly, what type of a relationship are you looking for?
SokolinyiGlaz 08-18-2005, 09:39 AM Most girls, if you ask them say "I am looking for a serious relationship."
Yet, not all want to get married. When I interviewed one girl, she said "I am dating the guy and we are having a good time together, but is everything about marriage? I dont know if I will marry him. I dont know anything. Yes I said I am looking for a serious relationship, but that means I am looking for a decent guy."
So what is it? How would you define serious relationship? What is the dirfference between serious relationship and casual dating?
Dudette 08-18-2005, 10:15 AM In my opinion, a serious relationship is when the guy might be marriage material and u won't party all the time with each other u'll have to get to know each other on a another level. And in a serious relationship i'd consider bringing the guy to meet my parents.
In casual dating u just wanna have fun, explore and ur dating to do it w/ some1.
MadisonBoy 08-18-2005, 10:21 AM Does casual dating exist in our community, or is it mostly serious dating?
Executive 08-18-2005, 10:27 AM Some girls when they say serious, its as if they want you to sell your soul over to them in a binded contract :). I usually say "well my INTENTIONS are serious, of course I don't plan on using you for some type of fling obviously". "i cannot gaurantee that things will lead to marriage eventually". That is the reason for dating, to see if the relation ship lasts and both parties want to take it further WITHOUT any doubts!

Dudette, as a bukharian girl (i assume u r bukharian) are you interested in casual dating?
MAdisonBoy, good question, what about our community? I think that there are bukharian girls who say that they are looking for a serious relationship, but in fact they are looking for casual dating instead.

No i'm not interested in casual dating but that doesn't mean that i never did it. Ok when a grl says she's looking to have a serious relationship and is really looking for casual dating that means thats she doesn't want a guy to take advantage of her (sexually), she wants him to treat her as though he's gonna marry her (with the respect) but she'd not looking to get married to him.

NO, that means she is playing games. If that was her conscious plan..

How long do you think he could put up with this?

The girl that you interviewed is lost, her meaning of a serious relationship is a casual dating. A serious relationship is when they go for marriage, and if they don't go for marriage it can't be a serious relationship. If she is looking for a decent guy then she should state that and not say it's a serious relationship.

I would say both. But most of the time you see casual dating... :party20:
lenkacutie 08-20-2005, 11:33 PM """But most of the time you see casual dating..."""""
i think that the reason why most of the time it seems as casual dating, because you start with casual dating. Once both parties develop some attraction, feelings and so on, then there is a posiblity that it might lead to serious relationship.
however nowadays both guy and girl say they want a serious relationship, that is what they have in minds before starting any NEW relationship, but it is a timely process that lead for a relationship to become SERIOUS... :love14:

in my oppinion serious relationship means ur dating for marriage reasons, but casual dating is if ur dating just for fun, but at the same time u should say im looking for a decent guy.
alik_05 08-20-2005, 11:41 PM When I interviewed one girl, she said
thats your problem, dont interview girls! ask them on a date!!! eventually you both will live happily ever after...
TheGreatOne 08-21-2005, 12:58 AM Would you consider that to be an honest approach?

TheGreatOne 08-21-2005, 01:01 AM I think "most are casual" 'cause that's how most probably start -- casually, but what's important is the intention.
If the intention is that if things progress well and the match is appropriate to get serious, then both are looking for "serious", even if it starts as "casual" -- no pressure.

may I ask, what does one get out of a relationship that is not sexual and casual at the same time, especially in bukharian community?
I don't know I usually don't do things just like that, so it's kind of difficult for me to see the point in such dating. That does lead to few assumptions, but let me hear what you have to say about that first.

Interviewing a girl is not a problem, in most cases you have to talk to a girl before you go out. I could interview a girl on a date as well.
