View Full Version : Bukharian Restaurants QueenofLilies 03-29-2005, 06:30 AM Guys and Girls, we have all been to Bukharian restaurants where wedding receptions are held. For e.g., Leonard's, Crest Hollow, Astoria...etc. Are you guys tired of them all? Or do you have a favorite? I know that I don't like Leonard's because its dancing hall is so long it does not feel like everyone there came for this one single occasion. What ever happened to weddings out in the open under a big white wedding tent - very romantic. My cousin wanted to rent a boat for his wedding and get married on that yacht - but it is our Bukharian tradition to make a grand entrance (and in this case miss the boat) and so the idea didn't go well. SOF 03-31-2005, 10:42 AM I know that I don't like Leonard's because its dancing hall is so long it does not feel like everyone there came for this one single occasion. I have similar feeling about it. Plus, it has extremely low ceiling and too narrow dancing area. The food there is ok, though I prefer Bangiev's catering. Crest Hallow's major turn off is its very far location. In my opinion, overall it's a much better restraurant than Leonard's, but very expensive and not a good value for your money. A perfect place for those who like to show off. I prefer simplicity and elegance Hillcrest Jewish Center hall over extravagance of others.
