Maybe its the color emitted from a low capasity and strength bulb. These lights are most commonly used becuase of the low amount of energy used for the amount of light given off. They have a very long life which make them good for street lighting. It is also a soft color, much like the sun, which everyone is used to seeing in the daytime. These bulbs also give off a wide range of color in the light sprectrum which makes them excellent for growing specialty plants indoors. Don't get any ideas becuase I know what your thinking... Low Pressure Sodium bulbs are still in use in some places. These bulbs give off an ugly yellow color. Some of you may have seen them before. |
