QueenofLilies 12-08-2005, 11:29 AM There are many classics that have tragic endings. For example, here are just a few,
Romeo and Juliet
Revolutionary Road
Death of a Salesman
Scarlet Letter
The Geat Gatsby
The Death of Ivan Iliych
Anna Karenina
War and Peace
Of Mice and Men
Anne Frank
Hamlet
The House of Mirth

lol, i used to watch those movies, it was funny the way they translated them in Russian...I would love them, but each of them had a similar story plot, they guy was crazy about a girl and eventually they were to end up together regardless of the issues they had to face {the choreography and singing were great}, I guess thats why you referred them to refect a happy ending :) thank you :), but I need classics

I'll have to look it up when I get home. These are a few I could think of on the spot.

aha, and also those Spanish soap operas which drag on for years but end up happy. Very predictable.

thats actully what intrigues people to watch them, they want to believe in these happy endings and the situations created in these soap operas are created so that we can mostly relate to them

That’s influential. Dear, please correct me if I’m wrong: isn't G-d an American/Russian or whatever all time classic?..

Religious practices and the belief in G-d are different for every culture and people. What I am centering on are all-time universal classics
