Why is it considered not typical for a Bukharian to be a pet owner?

In appartments, not a good idea. Since tehy barely have space for them selfs. However, those taht have private houses dont mind havind a dog to guard the house.

yea i think apartments is the reasons and also many houses do not have fences around the house in order to keep their dogs in the yard.

Y nas v Tashkente bila sobaka, i tam pochti y vseh kto zhil v domah bili sobaki, regardless if they were bukharian or not.

Yes, I have noticed that. But, for the pst part, some Bukharians percieve that pets are a dirty feature in the house

i have one, parekeets, they are extremely smart, wake me up in the morning and sing few time a day.

One of teh reasons why Bukharians keep pets in teh house. is taht, If G-d forbid something bad in the family happends they say "Balosh ba khamun khure..." :bonk:

yea my birds also wake me up. before, i used to get so annoyed, but then i thought about it, and i decided that it's such beauty. right at sunrise, they start. :)

because my birds have never died naturally. something always happened to them....such tragic stories. if anyone is interested in hearing, let me know. but i always heard that watever bad is supposed to happen in the family and any curses always go on the birds. i find it interesting that they think this way.

now that i think about it all the pets we had died. Except for two tiny turtles, and a chick we gave them away for adoption.
