It's all subjective, esle ti schitaesh chto y tebya dve ili bol'she to togda ono tak i est'
For example, some countries allow dual citizenship, and some don't.

What do you mean by Rodina?

If you concentrate on the word, its root may indicate "rod", which can be, in turn, interpreted as where your ancestry takes place, e.g. Israel. If you look again, its root may indicate "rod->rodit'->rodit'sya", therefore, place/country of birth, e.g. USSR and Uzbekistan. If you try to look again, you might view the root from the standpoint of "what's the place where I have rodstvennoye chuvstvo?" and you might think of the place where you live now. Or you may think of Israel again.

So, it may very well be:
"USSR" and "Tashkent/Uzbekistan" and "USA" and "Israel".

Good explanation TheGreatOne.
What I meant about Rodina? Nothing. I just wanted to know ppl's opinion on this subject. In my opinion Rodina is the place your heart pulls you to. For me it's Israel. If you ask me if so why don't I live there? With time I will.

You might've wanted to say this, I can't argue with that. But what I said is said by me. If you want to join in the statement (who wouldn't? :) ), you are welcome to do so. But please don't claim that I've said something you said, 'cause I didn't. :) I said what I have said. :)

If you people know it or not, we are currently in exile. Believe it or not, but our country is Israel. And if something happens as a war or jewish hater, the only country that i think will protect us and defend us because we are jewish is Israel. Even though we are born in Russian doesn't mean it's our country or perhaps America. Yes, we lived in Russian for a very long period of time, with persecution and prohibitions. If you believe a country of persecutions and prohibitions is rodina, thats tough. America on other hand is a country of internationals. Again, its not our own. Its techincally everyones. However, still I personally feel as a stranger here, because it will be forever a distiguish between a Jew and a gentile. For Israel, our roots are from there. Even our grand grad parents wished to live there, and the whole jewish history comes from Israel. So my personal opinion, Israel is our rodina, even if I live here (in America) fully satisfied. However, the only place I could come in and say honestly in Israel, "In Israel I really belong". A special land seperate for only us, the jews.
