About Rabbi Eli Mansour
Rabbi Eli Mansour was born in 1968. He attended community yeshivot graduating Magen David Yeshivah and Shaare Torah High School. He then went to Israel where he studied at Mercaz HaTorah. Upon returning home he continued to learn in various places including Ateret Torah in Brooklyn, and the Bet Midrash Gavoha in Lakewood. He then joined the Keter Sion Kollel to learn under the guidance of Rabbi Max Maslaton. He received simichah in 1998.
Rabbi Mansour currently serves as Rabbi to a congregation known as Bet Yaakov. The Congregation is currently, temporarily housed in HaLeBanaon Synagouge at Ave. S & East 9th St. in Brooklyn. Plans are in the works to erect a permanent facility with Rabbi Mansour as Rosh Bet Kennesset. The Rabbi gives daily classes in mishnah, gemara, halachah, torah, neviim, and a variety of subjects relevant to the orthodox community. He continues to advance his learning at the Keter Sion Kollel.
The Rabbi and his wife Sandra currently have (b'li ayin ha'ra) 6 children.
The Rabbi co-authored a Sephardic Hagada Shel Pesach with commentary, that was published by Artscroll. COming soon, we shall publish a book of 1000 Practical Halachot as orated and posted on www.dailyhalacha.com.
There are 4 web sites and a Phone Service, that feature Rabbi Mansour's teachings:
www.dailyhalacha.com
www.dailygemara.com
www.learntorah.com
www.mishnaberura.com
347-LEARNTORAH
The general rule in Daily Halacha is to follow the opinion of Maran, Rav Yosef Caro, as his opinion has been accepted by Sephardic Jews. Furthermore, most of the customs discussed follow Sephardic tradition. Lastly, a great emphasis has been placed to recognize the opinion of Chacham Ovadia Yosef shilita.

Shola at the lecture? She would have to cook in a biig kazan. A lot of people came to the lecture, I didnt expect that type of a scale.
What do you think about the lecture.

I was shocked that so many people showed up. I don't think I ever saw it like that at Beit Gavriel. But hey, it's right before Yom Kippur. We needed as many people to show up as possible. It was very uplifting for me to see everyone together like that. I'm proud of all who came.
Lecture was great. I was sitting there, smiling most of the time. What an honor. He's such a great speaker...I felt like he was pulling me in with every word. He takes his time when he speaks and stresses points. It gives a person time to just sit and think through it all. I'm sure many people have a new outlook on change and potential and know what they want to do for themselves this year.
It sure was a great success! The place was literaly packed - what a turn out!
He is really a great speaker and I am sure he was able to inspire most (if not all) of the people present there yesterday.
goldenmalach 10-04-2006, 07:25 PM the lecture was off the hook, I really liked it. and the amount of pple was amazing, they don't even have so many pple in shul on Shabbat.
I was typing points onto my phone as he was talking, and hopefully ill post it tomorow I just have to fix some things up.
or for those that missed it, can go to www.kolyakov.com and the lecture is there. enjoy :)
