Hey guys, as many of you have herd, Donald Trump wants/proposing to build the replica of the World Trade Center (www.TwinTowersII.com) at Groung Zero (http://www.groundzero.nyc.ny.us/).
Do you think its a better idea than a Freedom Tower (http://www.gothamgazette.com/rebuilding_nyc/freedomtower/)?

My personal opinion is, it depends on what Trump's replica would be used for. If it will be used to improve the economy and include a memorial, there's nothing wrong with his plan...

I dont like the freedom towers

I like the design of the Freedom Tower, I think they should go with this idea instread of replicating the twin towers. Its something different and people will remember the reason for the Freedom Tower. By rebuilding the twin towers, in my opinnion it wont have as much significance as the Freedom Tower idea.

Many people were emotionally hurt because of 9/11 and every time they just look at the skyline and when they dont see the towers that pain returns. I think they should bring the twins back may be with some improvement and a memorial.

and the name "freedom towers" honestly, sounds just as rediculous as "freedom fries". I know this topic is not for this thread, but USA is not about freedom its about making money, and please do not argue with me on this one. Thank you.

As much as I have no respect for Trump as a human being, in this case I absolutely must agree with him. The reasons are obvious and he basically mentioned them all in his interview..

As far as the Freedom Tower is concerned, different isn't always better. Trump was right about the fact that its merely a 60 story building with 40 stories of an empty glass skeleton on top of it. The other surrounding building's roofs are all at weird angles totally out of synch with the surrounding buldings.. Its a future eye sore without a doubt.
