Мужчина ли тот кто шипает свои бробья? some guys do their nails because otherwise they bite them. some guys do their eye brows to help their self-image. self-image is important and if that's the only thing that needs to be done to improve it then the guy is not in such bad shape (considering that some people turn to agression or worse to feel good about themselves). the one thing I find disterbing is learning that a guy spends hours in front of the mirror. that's the one thing that should stay dominent in the female race for obvious/not such obvious reasons. (a) unlike females, guys need not apply make-up (which is very time consuming) (b) long hair vs. short hear >> considering that guys generally have short hair (even with gelling) it takes twice as less time for grooming than it does for female's long hair. (c) and finally, some of us may admit it and some not, but lets face it ladies, a lot of time is alloted to spend in front of the mirror is to assure that not one detail is missed and we look as perfect and atractive as possible. this is primarily due to Subconscious/conscious feelings of insecurity, perhaps. (think i'm crazy? ask yourself, and be honest, why do we need to spend so much time by the mirror before we leave the house, and on top of that carry a pocket size mirror in our pocketbook?)Now, don't dispair ladies, because the truth is for us it's normal (to a reasonable degree). We (females) tend to be more emotional and at times (to a small/normal degree) emotianaly insecure. As normal as it may be for gals, detecting such insecurities in a guy, in my opinion, may present greater issues and instabilities in his character, because generally a man is more secure about his looks or at least pays less attention to details. It doesn't make him less of a man if he spends a lot of time by the mirror, but it's a sign that he should start working on building his character. Again, it's normal (but not engouraged) for a girl/woman, because by nature she is more of an emotional being. For a guy, however, it's not normal because by nature, he (although has feelings) is not an emotional being to the extend that a woman is. But gentleman, theres an advantage to that. It is the nature of Chava (female) to seek emotional stability in her partner Adam (male) --no matter how much the femenists prove to deny it. So guys, stay strong; for your lady's sake!! :cool43: Matrix 05-27-2005, 09:09 AM some guys do their nails because otherwise they bite them. some guys do their eye brows to help their self-image. self-image is important and if that's the only thing that needs to be done to improve it then the guy is not in such bad shape (considering that some people turn to agression or worse to feel good about themselves). the one thing I find disterbing is learning that a guy spends hours in front of the mirror. that's the one thing that should stay dominent in the female race for obvious/not such obvious reasons. Он должнен держать своё слово, сам решения принимать, заботится о близких и так далее. lenkacutie 05-27-2005, 01:33 PM Well, i think guys should do manicure and pedicure, if they want too, However in regards spending time near the mirror, yes i agree that is not for males. Eye brows are acceptable too, i don't see anything wrong with that.... If a person tries to look better in terms of apperance, why not.. Good for him..... If a person tries to look better in terms of apperance, why not.. Good for him..... Is it acceptable, if he's spending to much time in front of the mirror because he's working out and he sees how build up he is proud of his success in working out? Tssipa 05-27-2005, 04:15 PM We do say that males and females are different, but deep down we (I hope) all know that when it comes to feelings we are pretty much the same. So what if a guy spends as much time next to the mirror as a girl? I don’t see anything wrong with that. Women wear pants, and previously, pants were worn only by men. Same goes for manicure/pedicure, and eyebrow waxing. Guys and girls worry about their appearance, and how can you make sure that everything (every detail) is perfect? The answer is: you spend time checking yourself out in front of a mirror. :) p.s. Person who has to check his/her appearance often, actually is not sure about own appearance, and looks in the mirror to reassure him/herself that everything as it should be. Is it a form of OCD (obsessive compulsive disorder):D, due to lack of confidence in our appearance? MMMMMmmmmmmm… What do you think? Tssipa 05-27-2005, 04:23 PM Is it acceptable, if he's spending to much time in front of the mirror because he's working out and he sees how build up he is proud of his success in working out? yea, i noticed that too. At the gym, lol guys spend more time in front of the mirror looking at their muscles than working out. That makes me think, when do they actually work out, to grow muscles of that size? crispy 05-27-2005, 06:31 PM Почему нет? It is "natural" when people have two eyebrows, not one. It would be like walking next to a werewolf.:scared15: |
