The last soldier to see Army Ranger Pat Tillman alive told lawmakers he was warned not to divulge that a U.S. soldier killed the ex-professional football player. Tillman's family and former Pfc. I do not know what these guys are talking about. I had heard from the beginning that Tillman's platoon crossed paths with another platoon, and a rookie in that platoon manning the SAW (squad automatic weapon) or some other humvee mounted machine gun just paniced and started spraying bullets all around, and poor guy Tilman got his head ripped in half by a stray bullet, friendly fire.
The military only tried to cover this story for a while, not giving out any info, and then the media invented the story about Tilman's guys hitting a taliban ambush.
