The U.S. military today reported the deaths of 12 U.S. soldiers and Marines in Iraq over the past 48 hours. The deadliest attack happened when a roadside bomb struck a military vehicle in northeastern Baghdad, killing five U.S. soldiers, three Iraqi civilians and an Iraqi interpreter.
