i think the message that the movie delivers is that theres no right or wrong in war, its about kill or be killed. Theres always 2 truths, it depends on which side of the fence you stand.

P.S. : i dont see this movie as anti war propaganda, do you really expect a war movie to be about flowers and virgin girls?:rolleyes:

Yes, you are right that there are always two truths. However, you should always support your own truth and not that of your enemy. Otherwise, you will be engaging in moral relativism and won't stand for anything in life. A person who doesn't stand for anything in life is nothing but a piece of crap.:mad54:

In that respect "Black Hawk Down" was a great war movie.

The battle for haditha movie is just another movie that shows that Iraq war is pointless. Same moral Russian Army had when they were close to pulling from Afgan.

The problem with Afgan or Iraq is IMHO no modern organized army can ever win a partizan war on civilized terms.
For example, CCCP army used to punish afgans brutally for any slight uprising. A soldier walks into a kishlak and gets murdered, the whole kishlak gets pounded by rockets, everyone is dead. The US will never allow itself to use this practice, as we are civilized and cant kill "innocents" (innocents by our western definition). Every civilian casualty case gets blown out of proportion. This will not let the States achieve anything in Iraq. Now it is the matter of time it will take the generals to realize that this war cannot be won.
