Hey scorpiogrl,
an idea occured to me couple days ago, how about a viewing of a theatrical performance. I'm thinkig more along the lines of Sheakepere in the park. The tix are free, all one would need to do is pick them up between 1-3pm on the day of the performance. The performance begins at 8pm. I think "As you like it" is running between June 25th and July 17th. Then they have "Two men in Verona" in the month of August I believe.
So Sheakepere fans, anyone?

Hi ScorpioGirl,

Even though I'm not currently a very active member, I wouldn't mind contributing my 2 cents whenever possible. Regarding the events idea, is there a set budget or are you generally open to suggestions?

Val, that's a brilliant idea. I was told about these productions in my Shakespeare class but I was also told that there is usually a HUGE crowd there. If we can get enough tickets for all who are willing to come I think this will be an awesome event!

Executive,

We are generally open to suggestions. What do you have in mind?

I was thinking maybe Cirque Du Soleil - Varekai. Tickets are actually being sold now for July shows. I believe its in Rutherford, New Jersey. I am sure we can carpool or arrange something if other members are up for it.
We should set up a pole after gathering some good suggestions.

Sure why not? How about if we put you in charge for that.

As much as I would love to contribute to all your kind efforts, I unfortunatelly lack much leisure time to devote to such activities. If its something that can be accomplished online, I'm sure I can allocate a few minutes a day to help out.

Well, all you need to do is call the place and get the group prices. Also, you would need to call car rental and get the price as well. Then, post it on forum with all of the info and see who might want to go.

"Car rental"? No, no need for renting cars. I mentioned Car-pooling, meaning organize a few volunteer drivers from your members and divide people among cars. That, or get a bus and driver and have everyone meet at a certain place for pickup.

here is a link for ticket info:

To my knowledge the tickets are on first come first serve basis, although I'm not sure what their policy is on group tickets due to limited seats.
I knew you'd love the idea :D
