Guys and gals, here's a flyer for the next party..

Американская суетливая и бесконечно изнуряющая действительность частенько отражается на нашем благополучии. Хуже всего конечно же молодым людям, только что закончившим колледжи от 22 и старше. Начались рабочие деньки, надо зарабатывать, да и дальше совершенствовать свои знания не помешает. Многие сразу продолжают учёбу на мастера, врача или юриста. Откуда время подумать о личной жизни, об отдыхе, о развлечениях? Вот тут-то на помощь поспешили организаторы нового клуба "Ты и Я", которым пришла в голову замечательная мысль - создать интеллигентный клуб развлечений, который смог бы объединить тысячи молодых людей нашей
общины. Цель клуба - предоставить возможность девушкам и юношам отдохнуть и повеселиться в кругу своих новых друзей, потанцевать и поиграть в весёлые игры, проявить свой интеллект, смекалку и чувство юмора, похвастаться талантом или научиться
чему-то удивительно интересному. В планы нового клуба входят молодёжные вечера, конкурсы, караоке, КВН, пикники и многое многое другое. Обо всех наших планах мы непременно будем рассказывать в наших газетах. Так что следите за рекламой!
Ну а для начала, клуб решил организовать первую молодёжную тусовку, тем более что и место сразу же нашлось. Владелец гостеприимного ресторана "Кинг Дэвид" Артур Шакаров и его сеmья похоже понимают нужды нашей молодёжи. Они и предложили организовывать вечера именно в их ресторане. И вот 29 Августа более сотни молодых людей стали первыми свидетелями молодёжной встречи клуба "Ты и Я". Ведущие и организаторы пригласили молодёжь в романтическое путешествие мира музыки, поэзии, танца и
юмора. К удивлению самих организаторов, энергии и энтузиазму которых прямо скажем нет предела, зал был заполнен до отказа. Многим даже не хватило билетов. После громких фанфар, ведущие вечера Вера Аронова и Рома Мавашев известили о начале
развлечений, а весёлые анекдоты и шутки сразу настроили ребят на весёлую волну. Причём всё, что происходило в зале, строго оценивалось специально подобранным жюри. В состав жюри конечно же вошли наши замечательные организаторы - Ольга Авезбакиева,
Клара Муратова, Светлана Кандов, Бен Исаков. Артур Шакаров, которые щедро раздаривали подарки всем победителям и участникам конкурсов. А их было - море! Активное участие в организации этого вечера принимали также сами участники вечера Милана Устаева и Эмма Давыдова.
Для начала ребятам предложили придумать название для своего стола, наиболее точно подходящее его заседателям. Чего мы тут только не услышали! И не удивительно что первое место занял стол, где сидело много мальчиков. По первым буквам их имён сложилось прикольное название стола "Бе-зан-док!" Ну а 5 первых мест получили прекрасное вино от Ресторана "Кинг Дэвид" к своему вкусному ужину. Наверное самое огромное количество участников собрали 2 конкурса - конкурс "Баллада влюблённого рыцаря" и конкурс бального танца "Повторяй за мной - и ты уже танцор". Легко, непринуждённо, с огромным чувством юмора и непременного таланта, провёл музыкальный конкурс талантливый композитор, режиссёр, народный артист Туркменистана Бен Исаков. Не переставая удивляться к о всему прочему и организаторскими способностями Бена, зал с восхищением наблюдал как наши стеснительные мальчишки вдруг "запели"серенады девушкам, которых только что встретили в зале.
А профессиональный танцор Меndе Кirк вместе со своей миниатюрной
партнёршей заставил языком танца, юмора и зажигательной латинской музыки подняться на сцену более 20 пар, которые тут же научились нескольким новым движениям и приняли участие в конкурсе. А призами этих конкурсов стали подарки от Диджея Майка, бесплатные классы латинского танца, баскет a вином и конфетами от "Girling care agency", мужские галстуки магазина итальянской одежды “Dmiriy Y”,
Под шумные аплодисменты и громкий смех прошёл конкурс "Fun Chairs" и традиционная игра "Любовь с первого взгляда".
Всё же какая у нас талантливая молодёжь! Глаз невозможно было оторвать от этих плавных ритмичных движений девушек и парней под звуки наших любимых бухарских и израильских мелодий. Победители получили бесплатную поездку в однодневный тур от Нелли Бек и "Diamond's Tour", бесплатные бухгалтерские услуги от Ольги Авезбакиевой и
Аврахама Кандова, огромную скидку на определённые юридические услуги адвоката Романа Мавашева, и 2 бесплатных визита в салон красоты "Pretty Woman".
Ну что ж, наши поздравления организаторам и участникам! Ещё не закончился первый вечер клуба "Ты и Я", а молодёжь уже подходила к нам с вопросами "А когда следующая встреча?" Скоро ребята, очень скоро...даже быстрее чем вы думаете. Запишите, 24 Октября, 2007 ровно в 8 часов вечера мы приглашаем вас на нашу следующую встречу. А место встречи конечно же изменить нельзя - Ресторан "Кинг Дэвид." Звоните и резервируйте места заранее, чтобы не топтаться в дверях, а сидеть на самом лучшем месте и принимать участие в нашей интереснейшей программе! Какой? A friend of mine (I will not mention his name) confessed to me that after the party he and a girl he met there were talking and were probably going to go out.

The last party was only about a month ago and, of course, there has been no weddings as a result of the party. However, let's be optimistic about the future. The friend I mentioned is somebody I personally know. There might be other people who hit it off. We don't have them make an entry into a journal for us about the success/failure of their meetings.

We had close to 130 people attend the August party.

To get answers to all your other questions, you'll have to come to the next party. I'm sure you'll enjoy. And who knows, this just may be the party where you'll find your other half..:)

Do we get free drinks with this hefty price of admission? As a miser I am reluctant to spend money on anything, whenever that rare once in a long while time comes when I actually have any money.

Instead of mocking ppl you should have showed up at the event. I could not handle the overwhelming abundance of girls alone man. So many of them left untalked to because I did not manage to single handedly process the load.

Club You & I Presents:
Bukharian Men & Women

As many of you already know, several months ago a number of eager and enthusiastic individuals (Olga Avezbakiyeva, Klara Muratova, Svetlana Kandov) got together and launched Club You & I. The basic idea behind this project, a social and single’s organization, is to play match-maker for the many members of the Bukharian Jewish Community seeking to finally meet their Mr. and Miss Right! Consequently, on October 24th, 2007, Club You & I along with Restaurant King David opened their arms and doors for the second time, hosting yet another evening of games, gifts, and gigantic fun.
The evening started off with the Club’s signature contest, “Name Your Table.” As the title suggests, guests were to create a clever and unique tag for their tables. This time the theme was countries: each dinner table had a designated country, and the task of the team sitting behind it was to come up with an interesting ID using various associations with their assigned countries.
“Our country is Germany, and since BMWs are manufactured there we decided to use the brand and those three letters to come up with the name for our table. Therefore, we called our table- BMW- Bukharian Men & Women,” explained team leader Margarita P., a lovely guest with Carmen-like, jet-black hair.
Then followed speed dating, comedy production by BJOY, complimentary violin performance by Oleg Rutkovsky, Stas Kalantarov, dance contest by Dina Fattakhov, singing competition by Ben Isakov, stand-up-comedy-routine “I Want to Get Married” by Lyubov Pilosov, and the always welcomed and awaited discotheque by DJ Mike.
All these festivities were flawlessly conducted and ushered by the ravishing lady-in-red Vera Aronov, and man-in-white Roman Mavashev. The hosts continuously gave out prizes, mingled with guests and participants, and rubbed elbows with the jury and sponsors. The list of prizes included: Selected Wine Bottles, CDs, Dinner for Two at King David, (2) Trip to Philadelphia, (2) Concert Tickets to “Laughter-therapy,” Gift Baskets from Sweet Gifts, Gift Certificates to Salon Pretty Woman, and a Grand Prize of a String of Pearls.
To sum up, the second evening of Club You & I was a hit! Through music, laughter, culture, and fun individuals met on the dance floor, met at the tables, and met in spirit. So for those of you who never attended, join in and see for yourself what the noise is all about- your perfect opportunity is coming up on December 19th, 2007 at Restaurant “Troyka”,7.30 p.m. and for those of you who became the Club’s loyal regulars- ‘till next time at You & I!

I was at the second event. The idea is good but the event is not fulfilling its main purpose - making matches. I have an idea how to make it work better.

Basically: Every person coming in should have a number and a name attached to him/her. In addition, every person should be given a blank paper with his number, name and his phone on it. In the middle of the party, instead of doing Country Game, every person will get up and mentions his number, full name, age and what he/she does. At the end of the party, every person writes down on his paper the name and the number of the girl/guy he/she likes up to 5, not more and puts into the box located right next to exist.

WHY IT IS BETTER THAN SPEED DATING OR REGULAE PARTY EVENT:
1) At speed dating it will take too much time for each individual to see each other and it is not fun like a party.
2) At the party, it is sometimes hard for a guy to approach the girl while music is on or even there is no opportunity like that at all. Also, some girls like the guy but shy to talk to or shy to give the number on the spot.

My way is simple. No communication is needed. And still everyone has is having fun at the party.

Could you please pass it around to the coordinators of the event? I know they are planning to make another one in December.

Do you really want to be known as just a simple number? You can't just select the number of a person you like based on appearance alone. You still need to have an interaction on some level to see if you like each other.
