What do you guys prefer to game on, LCD, Plasma or DLP? I currently have an LCD, but am thinking about getting a larger TV and I've been looking at DLP because I heard plasma has a problem with burn-in and I've found some great deals on DLP. Any preferences?

LCD are less expensive but unfortunately the liquid destroys after 10 yrs i believe but its still a great buy if you choose Sony or Phillips brand, recommend check out cnet.com reviews before you head to the retail chain stores.

What did you get that from???:fight25: LCD is a rather old technology that has been in use for a long time and only recently started being used in TVs. Go and learn.

By the way, I've heard that plasma TVs had to be recharged every 10 years, but that turned out to be a myth.

You people crack me up. Instead of basing your opinion on facts, you believe in gossip you hear from others.

Today, vendors rate the life expectancy of high-quality plasma TVs at 60,000 hours. That works out to more than 20 years of use if you watch 8 hours a day, 365 days a year; it's also about the same lifetime claimed for LCDs and CRTs (the latter are similarly prone to burn-in because, like plasma TVs, they depend on phosphor-based displays).

What changed? Phosphors and gas mixtures in the new plasma panels greatly reduce the risk of burn-in, and some sets use burn-in prevention software. "If you're not worried about burn-in for your CRT, you shouldn't worry about it for your plasma TV," says the Society for Information Display's Larry Weber.

I heard from many sources that Plasma consumes a lot of energy which is not beneficial for your electricity bill and has a big chance of breaking. LCD is widely used and considered to be energy savers and long lasting.

If you are looking for some HOT TV's check out Sony Bravia XBR LCD HDTV. Make sure it's XBR model since that was makes it good.

I ended up getting this TV. I liked it better than XBR 4 and it was cheaper.
