I was recently having a conversation with someone and he started talking about having a second wife. What I found to be disturbing is that he never even had a first one!!!
Now, for my question, what does a guy consider to be his second wife?

You see, the reason for that is in case you cannot find all the qualities you seek in a single individual. So the guy simply marries multiple wives, each having a lot of a certain quality. For example:

Brainy Wife (intelligent, knowledgable)
Beauty Wife (trophy)
Philosophical Wife (spiritual)

:)

Brainy Wife (intelligent, knowledgable) ...I would classify this one more like a GUIDE ... a compas
Beauty Wife (trophy) = a mannequin for display
Philosophical Wife (spiritual) ...hmmm...а такие тоже бывают? I hope this one is not bald :jump20:

I think I know what you mean Homer, lol.
Tak, the definition of a wife is much more permanent and binding. This involves many resposibilities and commitments. However, the term second wife, I am not sure if that is a universally accepted term, this term implies a woman who may embody a real wife's qualificationws to a certain extent. In other words, she may live with her "husband", cook for him, etc, however, at any time, he may break up with her...or formally speaking, "divorce" her.

You all lost me here.. Perhaps your question should be phrased more appropriately? What was the purpose of the initial question?
Hopefully the 2nd wife won't be as bad as the first one.. Otherwise there will be a 3rd and a 4th after that.. hehe

his first wife was his hand and the second would be his imaginary wife.

Meaning like not the first soul mate but the second? Or maybe he is upset he lost the first one he wanted to marry and now will settle for second best. I think his heart was broken.

okay everyone, i made a mistake. just go back to the initial question and put second wife in quotes, like that ------> "second wife"

Now try to answer that question. :)

It's a good thing that he does not think of his car as his "first wife".
