Every place of origin is unique. This is especially true for Bukharian countries.
Where are you from? Whatis unique about the place you were born?

It can involve...
a) the mentality of the people {some people are more traditional or more aggressive than others}

b) beauty of the landscape

c) resources

d) lifestyle

e)other

I was born in Tashkent, but I never really felt that it was "my" city/home. Because I lived most of my life in Baht and NY. Why i liked Baht? I guess because i was little then. All I had to do was be a kid. We had a huge house there, a huge field where my parents could grow whatever they wanted, and a lot of free open space where to play and go crazy. We had apple, cherry, and apricot trees, that my brother and I climbed. We had a back yard where we had a lot of sand to play with/on and a swing. We had chickens, ducks, geese, a dog (He was a smart one. He walked himself and did not touch people on the street), and bees, that gave us honey.

I don't know, I just have so many sweet memories of that place. I miss it a lot.

No she grew up in a place where time didn't matter and a child could be a child with not a care in the world. She grew up in a peaceful society not in the crazy one we have now!

lol no.

You can't just summaraise what i wrote and call it a farm just to make sense. Some things can't be all black or white.

probably the fact that i wrote "field" and all the birds made you think that i lived on a farm?

Bol'shoe pole bilo ogorodom i bilo y nas neskol'ko ptichek. hehehe. Very different from what a farm is.

идилия была в тихих городках просторного Узбекистана
черешня расцветала чудным урожаем
сажали деревья почти еженедельно и ходили на базар каждое воскресенье
с большой тачкой

We always passed through Baht, on our way to my grandmother's place.
It was a great journey on our "mers" (zhiguli).

LOL ... you know that really made me laugh... just wanted to comment on that.

Besides that...Tssipa really brough memories to me too. I was born in Tashkent, and lived 9 years of my life there. I guess the only time I remember being a kid was back then. I loved our HUGE backh yard, and all the cherries you can eat!... apples, water-mellons, tomatos, carots, not to mention my dog running after those chikens....those were deffinatly the good old days.
Right now of course I can't imagine living the same life, unless it's to go away on vacation for a few weeks. I guess New York has got me spoiled with their high prices and limited fields and trees. Time flies now more than ever, the older I bacome, so little time I have to reminisce on the good old days. Not to mention the fact that momories also fade away.
Yep...well still can't complain, New York is great, and can't go wrong with Central Park :) lol ...

to tell you the truth, it is crazy everywhere...even at those times. You probably think this way because are so accustomed to loiving in this era. For example, before the transit horrors that occurred in London, Great Britain...everyone thought Europe was harmless and safe to be in, especially the tourists. But now, ppl look at the country with different eyes.
It is danderous everywhere, just be aware of the corner where you live in. No where is a guarantee of safety.
